This book contains the 24 scholarly papers presented at a conference held in June 2004 at two venues, the Fu-jen Catholic University and the Chinese University, Hong Kong. Scholars from China, Taiwan, Hong Kong and the West, as well as Christians from all three main branches of Christianity, discussed a controversial topic in an amicable manner. The book should help to spread light on this inadequately understood period of Chinese history. |
